Marcos; two forts whose ruins date back to the mid
18th century. There are various St. Augustine

Fountain of Youth National Archeological Park, which
was a created to monument the site where Ponce de
Leon is said to have believed the legendary fountain
to be located.
A very popular St. Augustine Attraction and a family
favorite is the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse was the first
lighthouse built in Florida and a second
construction has withstood erosion and many storms.
Climb the St. Augustine Lighthouse’s 219 steps and
see views of the Atlantic that span for miles and
miles. It truly is a sight to see!
Golf is always a popular vacation activity when in
Florida, and the city of St. Augustine is the home
of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Take a stroll
through the museum and learn more about the history
of golf and Hall of Famers that have reigned
throughout the years.
For those interested in art and beautiful
architecture, stop by the Lightener Museum, or
formerly the Hotel Alcazar constructed by one of the
city’s historic residents, Henry Flagler. The museum
contains mostly American Victorian era pieces and
the historic building is one of the most widely
known in the city.
